me and girls“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.
What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
– Jane Goodall

My name is Angela.

I laugh like a seal. I love flowers, travel, farmers’ markets, stationary, gift giving, shopping, handmade anything and exercise. I enjoy prank calling my friends in obscure accents. I try to juggle a lot because I love a lot. I especially adore my family. I try to be the best mom I can be – even when being good means my kids getting 17 tardies (I swear it was more like 10) in a school year. Through loving my family somehow I have become a self-confessed environmental health fanatic. Say what? I know. It’s not what I dreamed up for myself when I sat coloring at my kitchen table as a little girl. But once you know some things, you can’t un-know them. And somehow I have come to know a lot about our food, chemicals and their effects on our health, our water system… and on and on. Don’t google this stuff. You’ll be scared.

So here I am to share with you because I believe that we all deserve to live better. We don’t need to wait for laws to be passed and marketplaces to change. Whether we are aware or not, we are making choices every day that impact our health. It’s not easy to know how to make changes or when they are important. The landscape is confusing. The research takes time. Most blogs are boring and medical literature is dull. But I am going to help you. Simply. I promise to make this fun. Let me be your advocate in finding something better.
