So glad you are here.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.
What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
– Jane Goodall

We've got a lot more work to do.

We've got a lot more work to do.

When I started sharing clean beauty my girls were 2, 5 & 7.
In those days my ass didn't touch a chair much because I was constantly running around after them. And while I was regularly trying to share as much as I could about how to avoid exposures to toxic chemicals - I was NOT looking for a “real” job.

I had exactly two things in mind when deciding to get a link to share Beautycounter.

#1. Enjoying a discount on good clean products

and

#2. My daughters.

That was it.

Then I started down the beauty industry rabbit hole and realized just how bad it was.

I thought of all of the daughters out there who didn't know. I thought of all the moms who wouldn't find out. I thought about myself and my girls and how I would have felt if I found out all I was learning somewhere down the road after my children were grown. I had to do something.

8 years later my girls are growing up. We regularly swap and share clothing, hair products, beauty tips , DIY manicures and yes… even bras. They ask me about a different beauty product at least once a week… but now I show them how to figure out whether products are harmful or safe. They have walked alongside me as I have grown a movement and business that I (and they) can be proud of.

Together we have made a lot of progress - and yet in 2023 young girls are using more products than ever. And still, the majority of girls have no clue that cleaning up their personal care products is important. We have a lot more work to do.

I'm moving into the new year with the intention of helping more mothers and inspiring  more daughters (and a few great guys) to make small intentional and important changes so we can live to our greatest and healthiest potential.

As I close out the year thinking about what matters most to me about this work - it's this. It's always been this. Doing better for those I love most and passing it along to the next generation so they can do even better still.

Our daughters deserve the very best.
